Good morning! This mamma actually crashed last night whilst feeding my munchkin #2, and then woke up SUPER DUPER early on her own (I won’t tell you just how early to spare you the shock). These days, once my little one settles in he can pretty much sleep through the night, which is nice – I’ll tell you more about that another time. In fact, more often than not I’m the one who needs to get HIM up as he’s truly NOT a morning person.
What can I say… the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Though between my quick jaunt to NYC last week, and my upcoming trip to Arizona, I’ll likely be getting up quite early myself, so this new routine is good for me!
Speaking of routine… given everything that’s been going on I figured it was high time to get some SPA TIME on the docket! I can’t tell you the last time I’ve gotten a proper massage (maybe pre-natal at the Great Jones Spa down in Noho?). So, in honor of our upcoming SPA ESCAPADE in Arizona, I’ll be sharing some photos from one of my favorite spa that I visited during our family trip to St. Lucia.
Nestled right in between the famed pitons on Sugarloaf, this is the spot for you! You’ve seen my earlier review about the Viceroy hotel on Sugar Beach, but never about the spa itself (which truly deserves its own review!). Apart from the deeply relaxing treatment I had (and believe me mamma needed some chill time during that particular period of high-power stress… why is May NEVER relaxing??), the experience itself was bar none. I never thought that I would feel like a little woodland nymph prancing in the forest, from one tree house to another, but there I was! The whole thing somehow made me feel like I was on the set of FernGully – in the most positive way I might add.
Apart from the mood setting, which was fabulous, you also get to enjoy some adult-only time (key when traveling with little people!) where you can just sit back and recline in the waiting room that literally feel like a floating lounge in and amongst the wilderness… so cool! Oh, and dare I say that the private pool time at the very end was amazing as well. I suppose if you want to get revved up after treatment, you can always go for a light hike around those tree bridges. Once you get up high you can get another glimpse of the magnificent Pitons, which you never get tired of admiring.
This is luxury pampering and relaxation at its best in a paradise location, so the only thing I can say is – you must GO! In the meantime… I hope you enjoy these shots mamma took in her then trance-like state of ecstasy.
