It’s our last night in NYC for 2022!!! We rounded out the evening with a fun family excursion to see the @beyondkingtut immersive exhibition at #southstreetseaport — the exhibit is only on until Jan 1, 2023 — so go catch it if you can!! #nyc #pier36 🛕🐪 🔎𓂀

About the show:

A new immersive storytelling exhibition, Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience (@beyondkingtut), created in partnership with the National Geographic Society, is now open in NYC for a limited time and brings the magic and mystery of Ancient Egypt to New York City! In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of King Tut’s tomb, Beyond King Tut will open at Pier 36 for a limited time!

The new multi-gallery, multi-sensory immersive experience brings King Tut’s story to life and whisks guests on a time-traveling adventure to Ancient Egypt. With nine galleries to explore (and photo opps galore!), Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience unlocks the 3,300 year old story of King Tut – his rule as a child pharaoh, his family, the discovery of his tomb and the mysteries surrounding his early death, and his journey to the afterlife. Fun for all ages, the exhibition combines the power of cinematic storytelling and soaring imagery to invite visitors into the golden king’s world like never before.

#930 Amaze Light Festival at Citifield ✨✨✨

What a great way to finish the weekend! ✨✨✨ we went and checked out the recently opened @amazelightfestival — now through January 8, 2023 at @citifield — go check it out, you won’t be disappointed! My boys loved the tubing (real ice!) and Cho Choo ride 🚂💨 — now fully into that #holidayspirit 🎄✨

All that glitter and gold ✨✨✨… everything looks better when it shines.  I guess #gustavklimt really set the tone for our weekend! #929 Gustav Klimt: Gold in Motion

I took the munchkins to see Hall Des Lumieres tonight - “Gustav Klimt’s Gold in Motion” downtown on 49 Chamber at the “Hall des Lumieres” (a new permanent center for immersive digital art.    The experience was (quite literally) spectacular and golden — one of the best immersive arts experiences of its kind.  

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night with my boys and ease into the weekend after what has been quite the hectic work week! Go check it out if you can… tickets on sale until December 31, 2022 🎫 catch it if you can!!

#927 Zoolights in DC ✨✨

Happy Cyber Monday! Our Thanksgiving trip to DC was pretty epic! We did everything on the program and a bit more.  Here are some photos from our adventures at the DC Zoo {Pandas included!! Lol} We went to check out the annual holiday #zoolights at @smithsonianzoo on their opening night on Friday {November 25, 2022} — we’ve always been huge fans of the zoo light extravaganza at the Bronx Zoo, so this was like icing on top 🐼🐯🐻 — the kiddos also enjoyed riding the animal carousel {to quote my oldest — “just like the bug carousel back home but way better!} … you can catch this luminary show — fun for the whole family — before they close on Friday — December 30, 2022!!! ✨✨✨

#926 A trip to DC Botanical Garden on Thanksgiving Day 🍁🦃🍂

A few favorites from our trip to @usbotanicgarden {100 Maryland SW} on Thanksgiving day! We met up with mommy’s college friend and his ever expanding brood.  My kiddos have always love the annual train show at the NY Botanical Garden and it was awesome to see the DC version this go-around, with its unique DC landmarks, an outdoor #traindisplay featuring 13 farm scenes from around the world, and more! The location is also superb, right next to the Capitol and the Library of Congress ✨✨ Chek out the #USBotanicalGarden and this very special “Season’s Greetings” exhibit before it closes on January 2, 2023! www.USBG.gov/SeasonsGreetings

#925 Apple-picking in Warwick 🍎🍎🍎

Sometimes the simplest acts bring us the greatest joys.  Life has been hectic lately, but I never take for granted the moments where I can take a breather and enjoy time with my kids.  Apple-picking is one of those moment! 🍎🍎🍎 So glad that my oldest munchkin and I made a pop-over to Warwick back in late September (I think he had a school break and we popped over to Legoland… with a minor detour to Warwick in the way back).  It was the best!  These are the moments we treasure… before they get too old to want to do these things with us.

Greetings! These photos were taken on July 15, 2022 — at the Rembrandt Museum in Amsterdam (also previously Rembrandt’s house/place of residence in the 1600s) — on Rembrandt’s actual birthday! How cool is that 😎

I was super impressed when my Nuke baby even volunteered to do the painting demo.  This… coming from our shy, quiet little man who used to quiver at the thought of performing in public! What a ways we’ve come. 

We came to Amsterdam for his second international performance… and we had the best time! 🇳🇱

#922 Easter in Florida — What’s Old is New Again! 🌸🐇🐣

Happy Easter from sunny Florida! Yet again.  🐰

Since 2014 we’ve been (mostly) spending our Easter’s in Florida, ever since my big boy was just shy of one… and what a long way we’ve come! On 2020 we spent Easter in North Fork… and last year we did it up in Hunter… but I always say there’s no place like home 😎🌴 

This time around we went back to our hallmark experience of the Ritz Carlton down bear Vanderbilt Beach. It was my first time staying at the hotel on actual Easter Day and I must say the hotel did a fantastic job with the kids! They organized (multiple) Easter egg hunts, in addition to a fabulous Easter brunch, crafts and painting and balloons… even a real love bunny! The kiddos had so much fun and it really made me realize how much I am going to miss these days one day.
