Well hello there and Happy Tuesday!!! It was truly a great four days in our household, starting with Friday, where hubs surprised us with an early flight to Florida from NYC! We’ve been doing lots of back and forth flying as you know… the life of a snowbird has its pitfalls. #snowbirdproblems.
Suffice to say it was absolutely lovely, relaxing, wonderful, and filled with laughs and giggles (with minimal tears from the littles all weekend!)… and my big boy couldn’t be happier that we were all together. Case in point, every five minutes he would hug one of us and say “I love you.” #HeartMelty
My little guy, recently four months old, has also been a super champ. We started him on solids on Easter Sunday!!! True to form as a little monkey (he was born in the year of the monkey per the Chinese Zodiac), this little munchkin loooooves his bananas! We gave it to him on Sunday, mixed it with breastmilk, and he asked for it again last night as well as this morning!
It’s actually quite interesting as pretty much everything stops here in Florida on Easter Sunday (very different from New York), and in a way – though I I didn’t expect it, I truly enjoyed that! It somehow forced me to slow down a bit, take a breather from everything that I was doing, and just truly savor the moment, something I think I need to do more often.
Thanks to the good folks at the Village Shops on Venetian Bay, we met our SECOND Easter bunny of the season and took a super cute family photo as a party of four!!! (In the past, we've only ever gone to the Venetian Village for photos with Santa, turns out they do a great Easter Jamboree too!). For the occasion, mamma was projecting some Cochella vibes because… well ‘tis the season for Cochella and how can you not get into the spirit of the Free People? Besides, you know I dig me some boho chic at the best of times, Coachella notwithstanding!!
Lastly… Easter Sunday will forever have a special meaning in our hearts as that was the day that our little Rockshic Baby 2 was conceived! We did IVF so this whole timing thing is pretty darn accurate. Someday, I wish to share all of my infertility struggles (with both of my kids) with my dear readers, but for now, I just want to go back to showering my little darling baby with endless kisses and making every moment count because I know how quickly it will all go by!!!
Hope you and your loved ones had a fantastic Easter!
