Now that Halloween has come and gone (see Nuke baby’s Superman outing at the Intrepid… more to come on other costumes and adventures!!); it is high-time to contemplate the inevitable – the all-powered, all-consuming Holiday season!
That’s right ladies and gents, and so it goes this ever-turning cycle that we call adulthood, with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then New Year’s Eve thrown into the mix (yours truly is already planning her time-share in Miami as we speak… hello sunshine!).
I have to be honest, before I had a kid, I never really cared much for the holiday gift card giving cycle. In fact, the holidays meant yet another opportunity to travel (which, I suppose, in some respects – it still does, but under slightly different context and with different stakes).
That said, last year, post Rockshicbaby's arrival, was the first time that I did a personalized, Nuke-baby based Christmas card (and it was a hit!!!). We can’t wait for a repeat, and there is certainly something quite fun in brainstorming exactly what we’ll do – a family photo-shoot over Thanksgiving (hmmm)? A beach photo-shoot while in Florida (or would that be cutting timings a bit too close?). Decisions, decisions!
Either way… be ready for something fun and fabulous on the horizon, and what better way than with Minted, a design-conscious on-line card company that draws from artists globally and sources 100% eco-friendly, recycled paper. An early pioneer of crowdsourcing, Minted has held art and design challenges monthly since April 2008, using one-of-a-kind designs from indie-artists – so you know that you’re giving away something extra special!
You know that your girl digs herself a little sustainability-conscious motto, and I love that Minted even sponsors a tree planting program! *Note that all paper is made from 100% post consumer waste, is FSC-certified, and is manufactured using wind-power. What could be better?
