On Nuke: onesie by <a href="http://www.minishatsu.com/" target="_blank" data-mce-href="http://www.minishatsu.com/">Mini Shatsu</a> (love their stuff!), shorts by <a href="http://www.gap.com/products/baby-clothes.jsp" target="_blank" data-mce-href="http://www.gap.com/products/baby-clothes.jsp">Baby Gap</a>, socks by <a href="http://www.trumpette.com/" target="_blank" data-mce-href="http://www.trumpette.com/">Trumpette</a>. I must say, swnning with bubs beats <a href="http://www.rockshic.com/my-blog/2012/10/203-swanning-in-sag-harbor-.html" target="_blank" data-mce-href="http://www.rockshic.com/my-blog/2012/10/203-swanning-in-sag-harbor-.html">swanning solo</a> anytime!
Today was a rather slow day, as we kicked back at the grandparents’ house and caught up on some much needed R&R. I guess all this gallivanting of late, from T&C to SF to the Catskills to North Fork really caught up with us! The whirlwind fun has been exhilarating, but nonetheless exhausting.
You know what they say – no pain, no gain.
It was nice to just chill and take the munchkin to the local lake for a nice, relaxing stroll (yours truly haven’t been back here since 2012!!). We had our first encounter with swans (note the young fella’s wide-arm enthusiasm), followed up with some swing time by the water. We wrapped up the lazy afternoon with some locally-made Italian ice in the village shops. Mommy and son both agree that the peanut butter flavor is to die.
Between me and you, I had originally hoped to accomplish a lot more today during my “last day off” from this Fourth of July Holiday weekend – but I’m oddly glad that I took a wee time out.
Sometimes, simplicity is all you need.
Munchkin is forever trying to steal my sunnies!
