I am the first one to admit that I am not quite as fit these days as I used to be.
As in – not at all.
Part of that is because I’m still nursing, and as long as I’m nursing, well – I’m compromised both in terms of time and in terms of calories.
The other part… well the other part I attribute to sheer laziness and lack of discipline.
So there you have it. The good news is, recently I joined the Moms in Training program, which I’m hoping will whip my butt into shape. In the meantime, I can also gaze upon some of my prior photo-logs for inspiration. Such as this particular excursion taken in 2010 in Costa Rica.
Aside from Belize, I would say that this was one of my most active holidays. Ever.
It was also a fantastic moment in our lives – being just reunited with hubs, who had come back from overseas, and was sans stress, as we embarked on a new chapter in life.
One thing I have to say – canyoning (aka repelling aka abseiling), is quite scary. I look back at these photos and I can definitely see the fear in my eyes. It’s easy once you’re actually in the motion, but difficult to talk your way into it. It’s pretty much up there with other adventure sports such as sharkdiving (which we did while safaring in South Africa). Though I will admit that the ultimate adventure sport is probably bungee jumping or skydiving – both of which I chickened out of while visiting New Zealand.
