Personally, I find this season particularly challenging to dress for – as we slowly prepare ourselves for the bitter New York winter, bidding adieu (begrudgingly) to beautiful, warmer weather – all the while being perplexed by the occasional Indian summer.
Sigh.
So many moving components, so little time, and so much transition to account for!
This is the time, might I add, that I wear the heck out of my leather jackets (better get in there before it’s too late!). As I said in an earlier post, there’s nothing like leather to add polish and cool to one’s wardrobe!! (Particularly when that person happens to be a haggard mommy 90% of the time).
The combo of a great dress (in this case something I bought while I was 40 weeks pregnant! See here for pregnant styles), metallic accents (via my studded booties), plus a cozy frosty hat on top – makes for a great look that’s both easy and rockin!!!
Oh, and my little Nukie with his own little funky trimmings? Well, let’s just call him a most excellent icing on the cake.
Come to think of it… in many respects, this season is the coolest season of them all!
