Happy Sunday and Autumnal Equinox!
Yet another week flew by. This time last week we were just returning (rather frantically), from our trip to Saratoga Springs. We were attending a wedding of a dear friend of mine, documentary film-maker extraordinaire and also quite the indy-fashion queen! (last featured here).
Having made a career in production and design, it was no surprise to me that her wedding was executed to absolute perfection (all the more impressive as the bride and groom DIYed and spread their own personal touches on everything – from flowers to music to ceremony style). It was one of the loveliest weddings I had the pleasure of attending, and I’m glad that we toted our 3-week old kiddo along!
When the song “Home” (à la Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros) blasted from the speakers, I was positively beaming and insisted on pulling hubby onto the dance floor. To me, it absolutely encapsulated the spirit of the wedding – freely impulsive, and full of sun-hearted love, joy, & wonder.
