I’ve been meaning to check out Tomás Saraceno on the roof for quite some time now… and so glad that I got the chance to go recently. It is the artist’s fifteenth installation on the Roof Garden of the Met, and by far his largest and most ambitious! If you happen to be in the neighborhood, I would highly recommend stopping by to check out this roof-bound aerie (exhibit ends Nov. 4th). The view from the top is bar none, and the sculpture itself is quite breathtakingly impressive, particularly at sunset. It really gave me a new-found appreciation for visionary architecture, design, and participatory art. Hubby and I haven’t had this much fun interacting with a work of modern art since the Bean (aka "Cloud Gate") in Chicago!
