As a respite from the downpour last night, this work-crazed chickadee hit the Rebecca Taylor event last night at 260 Mott Street, hosted by SoHo Project (Sisters offering hope to others) + FashionEastA (Fashion for East Africa). I’ve always been a big fan of Rebecca Taylor’s feminine & classic pieces with character, as they have proven, time and time again, to be trusty staples in my work repertoire. In fact, one of my favorite go-to pencil skirts for the office is a Rebecca Taylor make.
On the fashion event itself – I had a great time meeting and chatting with some interesting folks, sifting through the sale racks (all items were 10% off, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting World Help – Fashion Hope (Styling for a cause), in the effort to combat human trafficking, I mean… really how could you say no???). It also didn’t hurt that munchies were provided by the eponymous Dominique Ansel bakery (one of my favs in the hood), while bottles of prosecco flowed about, courtesy of Ayza (a great place to hit up with your girlfriends for some candle-lit tête-à-tête over chocolates and cocktails!).
FYI – if you’ve missed the shopping extravaganza, fret not, you can still take advantage of the 10% discount by calling 212.966.0406 to rock both the savings & donations!
