En route to Esperanto yesterday, an old neighborhood favorite for Sunday brunch, I happened to stumble upon this ethereal, romantic look which reminded me of a vision from a Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was like a personal encounter with a sylvan fairy in alphabet city!!
I love that lady Claudia dares to wear neutral tones (so totally my style!), which a lot of fairer skin-toned mademoiselles would shirk away from, for fear of being “washed out." Here I think it suits her perfectly, and looks exactly like the sort of outfit I would want to wear on a hot summer afternoon! Without a doubt, this is a great day-time dress for the weekend… and I applaud the super practical fashionista for her choice of a bulky, beach-vibe carry-all – with ample space for her laptop, and then some...
P.S. Most of her ensemble can be found at her own lower east side fashion boutique called End of Century (237 Eldridge Street), which carries many one-of-a-kind pieces from emerging local artists (funny this is not the first time I captured the styles of chic boutique owners, check out posts on Spiritual America and Cutie Room). I’ve actually stumbled into E.O.C. myself a few weeks ago, purely by accident... and I am definitely planning on going back!!!
