Jacket: Zara | Shirt: H&M | Shoes & Bag: Vintage – From Russia | Scarf: Burberry | Skirt: Nordstrom Rack | Umbrella: American Apparel
I’ve been obsessed with the sheer skirt look lately… I think there is nothing more romantic for the season than sheaths of long, silky, and see-through fabric flowing about as you sashay down the runway (or the streets of Manhattan for that matter). That extra bit of sheerness, which cuts rather conservatively if you ask me, lends a touch of mystique and fun flirtation, ideal for the commencement of summer!
Here, this fresh-faced Russian beauty dons hers (in the rain no less) with some nice, urban accents (black and white horizontal stripes are another recently acquired fetish of mine, as are slim-fitting blazers). Love the pairing of her scarf and umbrella too (I didn’t even know that American Apparel made umbrellas!). Hands down, this is a look that is both young and dreamy. How can one resist?
Plus, this fashionista wins extra brownie points for tailoring her own skirt, which she bought at Nordstrom Rack – five sizes too large! Genius!!! (Wish I could boast such awesome sewing skills).
