Dress: Joe Fresh | Shoes: Kenneth Cole | Necklace: Boutique on Rivington Street | Cuff: Calypso St. Barth | Belt: Aldo | Sunglasses: Miu Miu
Now that both hubby and I are back in the city (and it’s no longer pouring outside), we decided to ditch downtown for the day in favor of some uptown adventures. Knowing that I would need a look that could carry me from brunch to evening, I opted for fuss-free, casual comfort with some jazzed up, personalized accessories (I first bought this necklace from Nasty Gal back in 2010, but lost it at a hotel room in Paris. Luckily, I found similar ones at a boutique on Rivington). The belt works wonders as well, as it serves a dual purpose of: (a) balancing out proportions and (b) camouflaging my problem areas. Last but not least, I finally brought my summer shoes out of storage, and these strappy platforms in bright canary add a nice, vibrant twist of color to the rest of my ensemble.
This fresh and versatile outfit carried me through the day from Central Park to brunch to the Natural History Museum (where we played with beautiful tropical butterflies) to dinner and finally… to the Lincoln Center for a fantastic finale with the New York Philharmonic, what a night! P.S. I highly recommend stopping by Levain Bakery on 74th and Amsterdam for the *best* chocolate chip cookies ever!!! Je t’aime.
