Ah the East village, particularly right around the corner of St. Mark's street – you just never know what goodies you will encounter!
Lucky for me, I bumped into a total rocking hottie, who managed to capture the spirit of urban cool, runway chic, and eco-consciousness, all without trying too hard. Here, the “on-the-go” look works well with her overall sleek and monochromatic approach, creating the type of style you can really get a lot of mileage from and claim as your own.
Ultimately, what really drew me to this woman was the allure of those standout boots, which made me feel like I’ve discovered my kindred spirit. Once upon a time, I too rode all over town on a little bicycle in, arguably, less-than-sensible heels. In my case, however, it was within the safer confines of Cambridge, as opposed to big bad Manhattan. Nostalgia... it has a way of creeping up at you during the weirdest times!
Oh, and did I mention, the bike is from Brooklyn Vintage Bicycles. As if she needed any more help in the “coolness” department!!
