Well hello there! It’s rare of mamma to write on a Tuesday… particularly given how busy things have been since I’ve returned from maternity leave. In general I am still playing catch up, but I feel like lately I’ve somehow managed to arrive at an “equilibrium,” if you will. (Having our own place in the Hamptons has uplifted my spirits significantly).
Speaking of which, it’s that time of the year again! In fact, we visited the pumpkin patches a few weeks ago with friends. Given how close it is to our weekend home, it seems like we could literally go every weekend if we chose (though now I’m a bit reluctant to join the crowds).
That said, nothing speaks Fall more than pumpkin patches, hay rides, sweet pies and artisanal donuts, and lots of apple cider in hand (see our last post on pumpkin picking). It’s also my little one’s first time visiting a pumpkin farm. I can’t help it, I find everything about him to be so adorable… even his 2am wake-ups. I even put him on the pumpkin scale last weekend (again, I just couldn’t help myself). He’s truly nothing like his brother (just over 20 lbs at the moment, though he really ought to weigh more given how old he is and how big my first born was at this stage. Sigh).
All that aside, happy Tuesday and I hope you get out to visit some pumpkin patches yourselves this year! It really is a must during the Fall… and truly, who can resist when we have such nice weather to boot?
