Happy Monday and also happy National Siblings Day! This was actually not the post I was intending on publishing today, but sometimes you just have to go with the moment and do something completely impromptu.
As it happens, April 10, 2017 will also mark the very first National Siblings Day that my two boys will celebrate together, ever since they became inextricably linked to one another back in 2016 when my second baby was born. Being an only child myself, my only outlet is to live vicariously through these two and experience the unique and unparalleled sibling love that they share with one another. Even as a mere observer, it is a blissful and indescribably beautiful thing to watch, as though they seem to demonstrate this inherent understanding of the other person. I say this, in spite of the fact that half the time we’re literally yelling at our older Nuke-boy to “please be gentle with your brother,” while he’s protesting back "but I want to kiss him!” #momproblems
Sigh… such is the inexplicable bond between brothers, or so I’d like to imagine as the mummy of two young boys.
