Well hello there from NYC!
Mamma just flew in fresh this morning… the plan is to take care of some business, have dinner at Upland in Gramercy with some old friend (the Obamas and Bono dined there last Friday so now naturally it’s my turn!), get some sleep, and get back on the plane bright and early tomorrow morning to return to hubs and babies. Whew! All the while pumping away because… well you know, my baby’s gotta eat!
Speaking of babies… hubby was saying to me yesterday how “hard” it is to scroll through his phone without getting distracted. “So many cute photos of the little ones!”
Tell me about it… I thought. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is to scroll through my photo archives and revisit those magical, precious, and undeniably short-lived moments which will never be quite the same as my children grow. That’s what I love about blogging – you can some how memorialize the fleetingness of live and pay homage to it in your own special way.
So here are some casual snaps from a long, long time ago. There was nothing particularly special about that day, except for the fact that it was a lovely summer weekend in June, and we just wanted to get out of the house a bit for a stroll (that’s what I love the most about the city! The easiness of it all). Munchkin was wearing his rabbit fur vest from Bonpoint that I love so much, and we ended up going to MOMA to buy him his very first scooter (again, a very unplanned event… to think that the scooter was so foreign to Rockshic Baby back then, and now he is an unstoppable maniac on that thing!). The air was intoxicating, the energy bar none, and most importantly – we were all together. Looking back, these are the best moments a girl can wish for.
